Meet The Biggest (Online) Drug Dealer In The World

Silk Road

Meth. Heroin. MDMA. Cocaine. Marijuana. All just a click away, and delivered to your door tomorrow.

Governments around the world have come out screaming that Silk Road is “the most brazen attempt to peddle drugs online that we have ever seen … by light-years.”

With an annual turnover of around $30 million to $45 million by FORBES’ estimate, this online portal has been bringing together drug dealers and drug users for over 2.5 years (and still going strong with around 60,000 visitors a day!)

Up until now, the man behind famous brand has remained to keep a very low profile with utmost anonymity. We find it so incredible that with the level of technology and teenage hackers the government has access to, they have not been able to stop (or even identify) this modern day ‘Jackal’ who controls the dark site of the web.

Check out this exclusive interview with Dread Pirate Roberts (not the one from the Princess Bride) by Forbes who was quoted saying “What we’re doing isn’t about scoring drugs or ‘sticking it to the man.’ It’s about standing up for our rights as human beings and refusing to submit when we’ve done no wrong.”

In essence what Silk Road and her competitors like Atlantis are doing is carving out an anarchic digital space beyond the reach of the taxation and regulatory powers of the state – one puff at a time!

  2. In a follow up to this story we reported on August 25th – The FBI has shut down The ‘Silk Road’ and have arrested it’s infamous owner ‘Dread Pirate Roberts’.
